To: Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) providers and people interested in EIDBI services for people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions

Purpose: To announce that licensed behavior analysts (LBAs) can enroll and serve as qualified supervising professionals (QSPs) that oversee EIDBI services
Effective: Jan. 1, 2025

As of Jan. 1, 2025, LBAs can enroll as QSPs for EIDBI services. We made this change to:

  • · Expand and improve access to EIDBI services for children and families.
  • · Increase EIDBI provider capacity.
  • As QSPs, LBAs are responsible to:

  • · Develop and monitor comprehensive treatment plans.
  • · Supervise applied behavior analysis services.
  • · Ensure high-quality, individualized care for people who receive EIDBI services.
  • To enroll as a QSP, providers must:

  • · Complete the EIDBI QSP Assurance Statement, DHS-7120C (PDF).
  • · Submit proof of licensure.
  • To affiliate an LBA as a QSP to their organization, agencies must complete the EIDBI Provider Agency Assurance Statement, DHS-7120B (PDF).
