TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS (TPS)

ISSUE DATE: 03/2026

A person who is physically present in the United States and is a citizen of a country that the United States government has designated as unsafe. These people are authorized to live and work in the United States temporarily as long as they continue to renew their status and until conditions improve in their home country.

Eligibility

  • MFIP (state-funded cash and food)
  • SNAP if  age 50 or over (state-funded food)
  • GA
