What’s new

Following a change to policy and/or procedure in the CBSM, DHS announces the change, including a brief description of the change, on this page.

The terminology used to describe people with developmental disabilities has changed over time. While DHS supports the use of “people first” language within its documents, you might still find certain outdated terms within historical and official documents, such as statutes, reports and third-party material.
