Purpose: To encourage providers to apply for incentive payments for direct support professionals (DSPs)

Long-term services and supports workforce incentive payments for DSPs
DHS encourages providers to apply for the Minnesota Care Force Incentive to reward DSPs with incentive payments. This initiative addresses the shortage of DSPs in Minnesota by rewarding people who work in this high-demand profession.
Providers can use incentive payments to retain DSPs who make less than $30 per hour. Each DSP can receive up to $1,000.

Providers should use the following information to apply for incentives on behalf of DSPs:
Information sessions
Public Consulting Group will hold two information sessions about the Minnesota Care Force Incentive. Use the following information to attend an information session:
Monday, Aug. 21, 2024, from 3 to 4 p.m.
