● | Naturalized Citizen: A person who went through the United States immigration process to become a United States citizen. |
● | Derived citizen: A person who became a citizen when they were under age 18 through their parent’s citizenship status. This is not automatic for some children of United States citizens, or some people who were adopted before age 18. |
