SNAP:
Count foster care payments as unearned income if the foster children or adults are part of the SNAP unit. See 0014.03 (Determining the Assistance Unit). Foster Care income includes, but is not limited to: Pre-Northstar, NorthStar Foster Care, and American Indian Foster Care.
Exclude payments for the foster care of children or adults who are excluded from the unit.
Youth between the ages of 18 -21 may be eligible to receive Extended Foster Care benefits. If Extended Foster Care payments are being received, this income is counted as unearned income.![]()
