UNSCHEDULED REPORTING OF CHANGES - SNAP
ISSUE DATE: 08/2020
MFIP, DWP, MSA, GA, GRH:
See 0007.15 (Unscheduled Reporting of Changes - Cash).
SNAP:
Six-Month Reporters, change reporters and Uncle Harry units have different reporting requirements during their certification period. See 0007.03.02 (Six-Month Reporting), 0007.03.05 (Change Reporting), 0007.03.01 (Monthly Reporting – Uncle Harry FS).
Clients may report other changes that they are not required to report. For example, an able-bodied adult subject to the 3 months in 36-month limit of eligibility may receive additional months' benefits if he/she meets certain requirements. See 0011.24 (Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents) for more information.
Counties must act promptly on all changes reported, regardless of whether the unit was required to report the change during their certification period, to determine if the change affects the unit’s eligibility or allotment. Promptly means within 10 days of the date the change was reported. The action taken depends on the change, which could include but is not limited to requesting verification and adjusting benefits as needed. The timelines for when benefits are adjusted depends on the change and when verification is returned. See 0008.06.01 (Implementing Changes - Program Provisions), 0026.12 (Timing of Notices), 0026.12.03 (10 Day Notice).
