GRH:
People have a GRH basis of eligibility when diagnosed or certified by a qualified professional as having developmental disabilities (DD) or as having mental illness, and their condition prevents them from getting or keeping employment.
For this purpose, developmental disabilities means a condition that is severe and chronic AND meets ALL of the following conditions:
● | Is attributable to cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, and Prader-Willi syndrome and any other condition other than mental illness or emotional disturbance. |
● | Is found to be closely related to developmental disabilities because the condition results in impairment of general intellectual functioning or adaptive behavior similar to that of people with developmental disabilities. |
● | Requires treatment or services similar to that of people with developmental disabilities. |
● | Is manifested before the person reaches 22 years of age. |
● | Is likely to continue indefinitely. |
● | Results in substantial functional limitations in 3 or more of the following areas of major life activity: |
- | Self-care. |
- | Understanding and use of language. |
- | Learning. |
- | Mobility. |
- | Self-direction. |
- | Capacity for independent living. |
