INCOME OF INELIGIBLE TIME-LIMITED SNAP RECIPIENTS

ISSUE DATE: 03/2026

See 0016.03 (Income From Disqualified Unit Members) for people who are ineligible due to disqualifications.

See 0011.24 (Time-limited SNAP Recipients) for more information on eligibility requirements for able-bodied adult people.

MFIP, MSA, GA, HSP:
No provisions.

SNAP:
Count all but a pro rata share of the ineligible TLR’s income toward the unit. The pro rata share must be calculated separately for earned and unearned income using the following steps:

1.

Determine the ineligible TLR’s gross income. See 0017 (Determining Gross Income).

2.

Divide the income from Step 1 by the number of unit members. The result is each member’s pro rata share of the ineligible TLR’s income.

3.

Multiply the result in Step 2 by the number of eligible unit members to determine the pro rata share of the ineligible TLR’s income that is added to the unit’s other earned and/or unearned income.

For information on allowable deductions billed to or paid by a TLR, see 0018 (Determining Net Income).
