3.7.7 Authorized activity at application

ISSUE DATE: 08/2022

The family must meet authorized activity requirements at application. See Chapter 4.6 (CCAP authorized activities).

When a parent is on a temporary break from their activity at application, whether they are considered to be in an authorized activity at application depends on whether their return to the activity is verified and if they meet all other eligibility requirements:

  • · If the parent expects to return to their activity, provides verification that they are expected to return and meets all other eligibility requirements, they are considered to be in an authorized activity for eligibility purposes. Suspend the case until the parent resumes the activity. See Chapter 8.9 (Suspending).
  • · Deny the application if the parent expects to return to their activity but does not provide verification that they are expected to return, if the parent is not expected to return to their activity or if the parent does not meet all other eligibility requirements.
  • Note: Medical leave policy allowing care to continue for up to 215 hours during the 12-month eligibility period is not considered an authorized activity at application. See Chapter 9.15.3 (Care during temporary breaks from authorized activities).
