    Person-centered psychotropic medication manual/webpage

The draft has been broken into topic sections so it can be developed into a webpage. This format will hopefully be easier to navigate than a 50+ page document. The team working on it is currently comparing the content to DHS Licensing forms, to make sure everything works together and to prevent duplication of materials. They are also starting to loop in other areas of DHS, such as the Behavioral Health Division, Direct Care and Treatment, etc.

Positive Support Transition Plan (PSTP)-related documents

The team is almost finished with updating the Positive Support Transition Plan (PSTP) Quality Checklist, DHS form 6810G. The next step will be to update the PSTP examples. Stacy and Kim will meet to finish up the drafts this month, and then they will send them to Stacie so she can get them ready for Communications, who will post them online for EPRC review.

    Updates from the subcommittees

The committee reviewed the updates from the subcommittees noted in the meeting agenda.

    Discussion

Annual update and cleanup of EPRC documents

Some minor updates will be made to the member list and resources sections of 2019-2020 Requests Subcommittee Instruction Manual.

Review of the committee’s 2020 Olmstead recommendations

Committee members reviewed their 2020 Olmstead recommendations. They noted:

  • · Additional resources for helping providers connect with other professionals will be included in the DHS Positive Support Webpage updates, though we are not sure when the Communications team will have time to publish the updates.
  • · Given changes to building access, remote work arrangements, coronavirus variants, and other considerations, the committee will seek legal advice on whether in-person attendance will be required for committee meetings later this year under the Open Meeting Law.
  • Resources

  • · DSD eList: Invitation to join online person-centered community of practice (state.mn.us)
  • · 2021 Odyssey Series / Minnesota Age and Disabilities Odyssey Conference (mn.gov): This year’s conference is free and online, so it may be more accessible to providers than the traditional in-person conference.
  • Change in subcommittees

Because of declining numbers of people being followed by the EPRC, Kim will be transferring to the other subcommittee on July 1. Liz volunteered to mentor Kim in her new role.
