Subcommittee updates
Committee members continue to support people remotely and are looking forward to in-person visits. April 22 is when in-person visits will be allowed again. The vaccination policy remains in effect for state representatives but masks are no longer required. However, we should keep in mind the preferences of the people we visit when considering whether or not to wear a mask.
Discussion
· The committee re-reviewed their 2021 Olmstead report recommendations from their last meeting. Dan Baker did not participate since it is a conflict of interest given his new role as the Olmstead agency lead. There were no recommendations for changes so the committee coordinator will submit the report to communications for publishing.· Members are welcome to attend the upcoming telehealth training: Telehealth and Remote Positive Support Practices. For those who cannot attend, there will be recorded modules and materials available after the training series. Another eList will go out with links to those materials.· Committee members are welcome to attend an upcoming training series on Charting the Life Course. Closing
Upcoming meeting topics include:
· Developing guidelines for when committee members should do in-person visits or virtual visits· Annual reviews of the committee’s two manuals and guidelines on safe work practices· Data on use of restraint· Continued conversation on Fredda Brown’s letter at the committee’s May meeting since Mary Piggott could not make this meeting and is leading the discussion.
