DHS updates regional variance factor values for Disability Waiver Rate System frameworks
Beginning July 1, 2022, DHS will begin using updated regional variance factors in the Disability Waiver Rate System frameworks as required by the Minnesota Legislature. To view the regions and regional variance factors, see the 2022 DWRS regional variance factor webpage.
DHS will include the changes in the Rate Management System (RMS) within the MnCHOICES Support Plan application. The system will begin to use the new values for services with a start date of July 1, 2022, or later on a rolling basis as service authorizations either renew or change.
June update to Rate Management System
DHS will update the RMS within the MnCHOICES Support Plan on June 22, 2022. This RMS update will include the regional variance factor changes to the framework component values, which will affect rate calculations for framework services with a service start date of July 1, 2022, or later.
When may lead agencies calculate RMS rates with a start date of July 1, 2022, or later?
Please wait for the “all-clear” message from DHS that the June 2022 release is complete before you:
