The committee reviewed recommendations from their most recent annual evaluation report:
· The committee did not have anything new to add for item #1.· The committee did not have anything new to add for item #2. · The mechanical restraint group offered in-person visits to all teams, but only some were interested. Others preferred remote meetings. · The DHS Community Capacity and Positive Supports (CCPS) Team will be working on an inventory of trainings by topic, to see where there might be training gaps on subjects like functional behavior assessments, rights restrictions, etc. Later in 2022 or early 2023, the CCPS Team will bring that list to the committee for review, to see what the committee recommends for adding to the inventory. · Since there is approximately a 40% annual turnover rate with direct support professionals, the CCPS Team will intentionally be recording trainings going forward so they are easily available to new workers. · With this project, how can DHS make sure it’s easily accessed by providers and well known? · The committee will make this a standing meeting agenda over the next year while they work through this project. · The committee did not have anything new to add for item #5.
