Selected applicants will work as independent contractors on a temporary basis to conduct interviews with people who receive state services. The interviews will assess people’s quality of life and satisfaction with services.

Position details

This temporary project begins with a two-day, in-person orientation Feb. 21-22, 2024. The project will last until May 2024 (or until all interviews are completed). Interviewers will have additional training in the form of webinars and self-paced modules after the two-day orientation. Interviewers must agree to schedule and conduct at least eight interviews a week on average. Each interview will last 30-45 minutes.

Interview format

Interviews will be semi-structured and will take place in person or via Zoom/phone. Interview subjects will be older adults and people with disabilities from varying cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Core questions will cover topics such as:

  • · Accessing essential services.
  • · Communication with providers and case managers.
  • · Choice of services.
