DHS plans to review all submitted cost reports during the 2024 reporting period. We are doing this to:
If a cost report fails the data validation review, the provider is responsible to fix and resubmit their cost report in a timely manner. DHS will:
Background information
Minn. Stat. §256B.4914, subd. 10(a) requires DHS to audit randomly selected cost reports for data validity and completeness.
DHS began the auditing process in 2023. Internal auditors thoroughly reviewed selected cost reports and requested additional bookkeeping records to justify costs.
