Rate increases and changes to select MHM services

As of Jan. 1, 2025, DHS increased rates and made changes to select MHM services to align with community standards and program needs.

Costs for finding housing and employment

Overnight lodging actual cost cannot exceed $200 per night per person.

Note: Overnight lodging is allowable if the trip exceeds six hours, including travel time and activity.

Pre-discharge case consultation and collaboration service

Pre-discharge case consultation and collaboration service reimbursement is limited to the actual cost per session and cannot exceed $1,500 per session.

Home care training for family and non-family service

Home care training for family and non-family service (formerly known as post-discharge case consultation and collaboration service) reimbursement is limited to the actual cost per session and cannot exceed $1,500 per session.

Transitional services

The total available funds for transitional services cannot exceed the following:

· Furnishings: Maximum total of $2,000.

· Supplies: Maximum total of $500.

· Expenses associated with securing housing: Maximum total of $2,500.

Transition coordination

Providers or lead agencies must bill transition coordination services provided on the day a person moves as transition coordination instead of expenses associated with securing housing.
