CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

Policy manual

DHS made the following changes:

· Updated CFSS Manual – Transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS to add links to the translated versions of Information for People Who Use CFSS, DHS-6893U-ENG (PDF) and clarify instructions for current PCA provider agencies and lead agencies during transition plan phase II.

· Updated CFSS Manual – Assessment for PCA/CFSS services to add lead agency responsibilities, lead agency instructions for people who need additional time to complete the transition from PCA to CFSS and lead agency instructions for people who want to start CFSS before their PCA transition service agreement ends.

· Updated CBSM – CSG transition to CFSS to add information about the transition process from CSG to CFSS, add information from CFSS Manual – Transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS and add county/tribal nation instructions for people who need additional time to complete the transition from CSG to CFSS and county/tribal nation instructions for people who want to start CFSS before their CSG transition service agreement ends.

Forms and documents

DHS updated CFSS Individual Service Delivery Plan, DHS-6893P to fix an error that occurred when using older versions of Adobe Acrobat.

MMIS instructions

DHS updated DSD MMIS Reference Guide – ASA3 screen overview to clarify the CFSS service agreement calculator instructions.

MMIS system updates

DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties and tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.

Training

DHS updated CFSS Transition Timelines to include examples of people who need additional time to complete the transition from PCA/CSG to CFSS and people who want to start their CFSS services before the end of their PCA/CSG service agreement.
