CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

Policy manual

DHS made the following changes:

· Posted CFSS Manual – CFSS consultation services provider county/tribal nation liaisons contact list, a new resource for consultation services providers to use to contact a county/tribal nation.

· DHS updated CFSS Manual – Resource: CFSS mid-year changes for counties and tribal nations to clarify counties and tribal nations can only edit a PCA/CFSS service agreement that has a consultation services (T1023) line.

DHS updated the follow pages to clarify the conflict of interest requirements/limitations for CFSS providers, lead agencies and contracted case managers:

· CFSS Manual – CFSS consultation services provider requirements.

· CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS provider agency requirements overview.

· CFSS Manual – Financial management services (FMS) provider requirements for CFSS.

DHS posted CFSS Manual – Resource: CFSS mid-year changes for people age 65 or older who are enrolled in a managed care organization (MCO), a resource on how to make mid-year changes to a person’s CFSS service delivery plan.
