New DHS professional insight panel

DHS invites professionals who want to help shape the future of HCBS in Minnesota to join the professional insight panel. We can quickly contact this group of professionals for feedback on key disability waiver initiatives (e.g., Waiver Reimagine, other HCBS efforts).

The panel is the professional counterpart to the Disability Hub virtual insight panel, which gathers input from people with disabilities and their families.

Purpose

The professional insight panel helps DHS:

  • · Gather fast, meaningful input from a broad range of voices.
  • · Make decisions that reflect real experiences from the field.
  • Reasons to participate

    Participants can:

  • · Directly inform strategies, programs, communications and training across HCBS.
  • · Provide quick and easy feedback. Most requests take 10 to 20 minutes (e.g., short surveys, polls).
  • · Participate in focus groups or usability sessions.
  • · Share their direct experience with services.
  • · Engage with topics that match their expertise and experience.
  • · Make an impact. DHS will share updates about how participant feedback influences outcomes and next steps.
  • How it works

Participants receive occasional requests for feedback throughout the year. To stay active, DHS asks participants to respond to at least two requests per year. Participants do not need to respond to every request.

    Sign up for the panel

To sign up for the professional insight panel, refer to DHS survey – Join the professional insight panel.

    Initial focus on Waiver Reimagine

DHS plans to initially focus the professional insight panel on Waiver Reimagine, our ongoing work to make system-level improvements to Minnesota’s disability waiver program. Participant insights will help shape Waiver Reimagine implementation, messaging and program improvements that affect people receiving services, families and providers.

In the future, we will use the panel to gather feedback on other HCBS initiatives.
