MN-ITS | MN-ITS is the new HIPAA-compliant Web-based electronic billing and administrative transaction system provided by DHS that combines all current electronic claims submission processes. MN-ITS will replace ITS and is to be called MN-ITS (or "minutes"). MN-ITS is not an acronym and does not stand for anything. MN-ITS is the only HIPAA compliant way to bill DHS. | |
MN-ITS Processes | MN-ITS is the single point of entry for Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) providers and billers to: · Complete authorization requests · Complete home care service agreement requests · Receive remittance advice online · Submit claims online · Verify MHCP eligibility | |
MN-ITS Cost | MN-ITS is free to all MHCP providers and billers. | |
MN-ITS Registration | All MHCP providers and billers must have an initial registration letter, user ID and password before access is allowed. Users must be enrolled with MHCP. Users cannot register without being enrolled and only get a letter if enrolled. Click here to register for MN-ITS. | |
Public Health Nurses | Public health nurses (PHNs) can use MN-ITS to: · Bill for PHN services rendered · Check for claim(s) status · Verify MHCP eligibility prior to a personal care assistance (PCA) assessment | |
