Purpose: To announce the Applying Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) virtual training series

PBS virtual training series

DHS and the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration (ICI) invite you to register for Applying PBS, a virtual training series on the use of PBS as part of the continuum of positive support practices. The series will cover how to implement PBS in community settings to support the needs of people with developmental or intellectual disabilities at universal, targeted and intensive support tiers.

Training dates and topics

All virtual training sessions start at 9 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. The training dates and topics are:

  • · Jan. 10, 2024 – Introduction to the Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) Process
  • · Feb. 7, 2024 – Implementation of FBA
  • · March 13, 2024 – PBS Planning
  • · April 10, 2024 – Applying PBS in Your Organization
  • DHS and ICI encourage attendance across all training sessions because the content is cumulative. However, you are not required to attend all sessions.

    Use the following information to attend the training series:

  • · Registration: Register on Zoom
  • · Location: Online via Zoom
  • · Cost: Free
  • · Accommodations: To request an accommodation, email PBS@umn.edu.
  • Verified attendees will receive a certificate of attendance at the close of the series. This training series does not offer continuing education units.
