CFSS receives federal approval

On Feb. 27, 2024, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved DHS’ state plan amendments on CFSS, a flexible health care program that will replace PCA and CSG in Minnesota.

Timeline for CFSS launch date

Before DHS launches CFSS, we must:

  • · Complete the tasks listed on PCA Manual – Transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS.
Note: Most are nearly complete, and DHS will share updates when appropriate.
  • · Make changes to computer systems, forms, manuals and trainings in response to feedback from CMS.
  • DHS will announce the CFSS launch date at least 90 days in advance. We will continue to send status updates as more information becomes available.
