CFSS receives federal approval

On Feb. 27, 2024, the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approved DHS’ state plan amendments on CFSS, a flexible health care program that will replace PCA and CSG in Minnesota.

Timeline for CFSS launch date

Before DHS launches CFSS, we must:

· Complete the tasks listed on PCA Manual – Transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS.
Note: Most are nearly complete, and DHS will share updates when appropriate.

· Make changes to computer systems, forms, manuals and trainings in response to feedback from CMS.

DHS will announce the CFSS launch date at least 90 days in advance. We will continue to send status updates as more information becomes available.
