Federal mileage rate increase

Effective July 1, 2024, DHS will increase the federal mileage rate to 67 cents per mile. This mileage adjustment applies to all HCBS waiver programs.

DHS is making this change because on Dec. 14, 2023, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced the standard mileage rate for the use of a car (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) is 67 cents per mile for business miles driven beginning Jan. 1, 2024.
