Disability waiver case manager informed choice training requirement
DHS created a new required course for disability waiver case managers, “Informed Choice: Disability Waiver Case Manager Training.” The course supports recent legislative changes to disability waiver case manager training requirements.
Training information
As of July 1, 2023, disability waiver case managers must complete 20 hours of education and disability-related training each year. “Informed Choice: Disability Waiver Case Manager Training” fulfills two hours of the required 20 hours. There are no substitutions for this training.
Disability waiver case managers must complete “Informed Choice: Disability Waiver Case Manager Training” annually. Lead agencies have authority to determine whether to measure and document annual completion by:
