Emergency relief grants available for EIDBI providers that serve rural communities

DHS is accepting proposals for emergency relief grants available for EIDBI providers that serve rural communities and are at risk of closure.

Details

Use the following information to apply:

  • · Deadline: 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024
  • · Online application: To submit a proposal in response to this RFP, responders must use the DHS – DSD Online Portal. New users must select “Create New Account” to complete the registration process. Existing users must enter their email address and password to log in. If you need to reset your password, select “Forgot your password?” and follow the instructions. For help with the online portal, refer to Foundant Technologies – Grant Lifecycle Manager (GLM) Applicant Tutorial.
    Note: Responders cannot submit proposals through mail, fax or email.
  • · Start of grant period: DHS estimates the grant period will start on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.

  • Eligibility

    “Rural communities” refers to communities located outside:

  • · Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott or Washington counties.
  • · Duluth, Mankato, Moorhead, Rochester and St. Cloud.
  • Background information

    This grant program:

  • · Gives financial assistance to EIDBI provider organizations that are at risk of closure or unable to cover their operating expenses.
  • · Preserves access to EIDBI services in rural communities.
  • · Supports organizational capacity building activities to sustain existing EIDBI services in rural communities.
