CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates early in the transition.

Policy

DHS made the following changes:

  • · Corrected an error on CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS covered personal care services about instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) for children. The assessor must indicate the child meets the requirements for IADL assistance on the child’s assessment.
  • · Updated the current status of items we completed and still need to complete on CFSS Manual – Transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS.
  • For details about all manual updates, refer to CFSS Manual – Updates to the CFSS Policy Manual.

    Forms and documents

For a list of all forms and documents currently available, refer to CFSS Manual – Forms and documents.

    MMIS instructions

DHS clarified instructions for the requested total units and requested total amount fields on DSD MMIS Reference Guide – ASA3 screen for personal care services (T1019).

For details about all manual updates, refer to DSD MMIS Reference Guide.

    MMIS system updates

DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties and tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.

    Training

DHS posted Choosing a CFSS model: A tool for a person using CFSS and their consultation services provider.
