MnCHOICES user access recertification

DHS scheduled the annual MnCHOICES user access recertification for March 2025. Lead agencies will use the DHS Access Recertification System (ARS) to verify data privacy training and user access.

January 2025: Preparation for user access recertification process

To facilitate the March 2025 user access recertification process, each staff member must have a supervisor in their MnCHOICES staff member profile (i.e., “profile” under the “relationships” section).

In January 2025, DHS will email MnCHOICES mentors:

· A spreadsheet of staff members who are missing a supervisor in their staff member profile.

· Instructions to review and update the MnCHOICES staff member profiles to select a supervisor by Jan. 31, 2025.

This ensures the data is complete when DHS loads MnCHOICES users to ARS.

March 2025: User access recertification process

In March 2025, lead agency security liaisons and DHS supervisors will use ARS to complete the required user access recertification process. The user access recertification process is a designated six-week cycle of reviewing assigned users to:

· Verify all users complete their annual data privacy course work on MnIT – Handling MN Information Securely.

· Recertify MnCHOICES user access.
