Purpose: To share a new optional training on Minnesota Rules, chapter 9544 for service providers licensed under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A

Training on Minnesota Rules, chapter 9544

DHS and partners developed a new optional training on Minnesota Rules, chapter 9544, commonly referred to as the Positive Supports Rule or the rule on positive support strategies and restrictive interventions. This 37-minute training is for all service providers licensed under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245A, except:

· Providers licensed under Minnesota Statutes, chapter 245D, who must follow additional guidelines.

· Child care providers, who are exempted from these requirements under Minn. Stat. §245.8251, subd. 1 and Minn. Stat. §142B.63.
