Purpose: To announce that DHS created instructions that lead agencies must follow to avoid gaps in services for people who need additional time to complete the transition from personal care assistance (PCA)/CSG to Community First Services and Supports (CFSS)

Lead agency instructions to avoid gaps in services
DHS created instructions that lead agencies must follow to avoid gaps in services for people who need additional time to complete the transition from PCA/CSG to CFSS.
Applicability
Lead agencies can enter six additional months of PCA/CSG services for a person who already has a six-month PCA/CSG service agreement for an assessment conducted on or after Oct. 1, 2024, if the person meets at least one of the following criteria:

For questions about potential gaps in services, people who receive services and providers can contact their lead agency if the person meets the criteria in the applicability section above.
