DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.
Policy manual
DHS made the following changes:
Reminder: DHS updated CFSS Manual – Assessment for PCA/CFSS services to add lead agency instructions to avoid a gap in service for people who need additional time (i.e., more than six months) to complete the transition from PCA to CFSS. We announced this update in the April 8, 2025, eList announcement.
Forms and documents
DHS posted CFSS Work Time and Activity Documentation, DHS-6893C (PDF), which replaces PCA Worker Time and Activity Documentation, DHS-4691 (PDF).
For a list of all forms and documents currently available, refer to CFSS Manual – Forms and documents.
MMIS instructions
DHS updated DSD MMIS Reference Guide – ASA3 screen for personal care (T1019) services to add instructions to resolve errors described in the April 15, 2025, eList announcement.
For details about all manual updates, refer to DSD MMIS Reference Guide.
MMIS system updates
DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties and tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.
Resources
DHS updated DHS – CFSS and lead agencies FAQ with frequently asked questions from office hours through December 2024.
Note: The regional resource specialists previously shared a draft of these FAQs in an email to lead agency supervisors. That document is now obsolete and lead agency staff must refer to DHS – CFSS and lead agencies FAQ.
