CFSS implementation updates

DHS began the transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS on Oct. 1, 2024. We will provide regular updates throughout the transition.

Policy manual

DHS made the following changes:

  • · Posted CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS services on a waiver/Alternative Care.
  • · Updated CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS covered personal care services and CFSS Manual – PCA/CFSS service delivery plan to clarify what people must include on their CFSS service delivery plan. DHS no longer requires a person to include instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs) listed in their assessment results unless a paid worker will provide support for that IADL.
  • MMIS instructions

    DHS updated:

  • · DSD MMIS Reference Guide – MMIS transition from PCA and CSG to CFSS to update the instructions for counties/tribal nations during phase 3.
  • · DSD MMIS Reference Guide – ASA3 screen overview to add a note about potential errors the county/tribal nation may receive when they update an SA with a personal care (T1019) line.
  • For details about all manual updates, refer to DSD MMIS Reference Guide.

    MMIS system updates

DHS continues to test and fix bugs in MMIS. Counties and tribal nations can use Service Agreement and Screening Document (SASD) Support Team Portal, DHS 3754 to report issues to DHS.
