Purpose: To announce a funding opportunity for organizations that support new Americans to enter, grow and maintain employment in the LTC workforce

Grants to support new Americans in the LTC workforce

DHS is accepting applications for grants to support new Americans in the LTC workforce. New Americans are people born abroad and their children.

Applicants

DHS encourages applications from organizations that can prioritize providing comprehensive services and collaborating with partners to support new Americans in the LTC workforce.

DHS will award grants to organizations that:

  • · Connect new Americans to LTC employment.
  • · Help new Americans navigate language and cultural barriers and access culturally responsive training and career opportunities.
  • · Provide supportive services (e.g., career education, wraparound support services to support career enhancement and growth).
  • · Enhance cultural competency (e.g., on-site occupational English programs, continuing education for new American employees).
  • Application deadline

    The application deadline is Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025.
