Disability waiver service agreement review
The 2025 Minnesota Legislature passed a new requirement for disability waiver service agreement review in Minn. Stat. §256B.49, subd. 17(a).
If the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) approve the change, lead agency supervisors must review and accept all disability waiver service agreements entered into the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) by lead agency staff.
Next steps
DHS must obtain federal approval from CMS before we implement this change.
We will send an eList announcement with more information when we receive CMS approval and confirm the effective date.
