Free MTI quarterly training about peer-to-peer mentorship

“Peer-to-Peer Mentorship as a Strategy for Employment Services Providers: Updates and Success Stories from The Arc Minnesota Peer-to-Peer Mentorship Program” is a virtual training opportunity hosted by the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration (ICI) on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.

    This quarterly training will highlight The Arc Minnesota’s peer-to-peer mentor program, which is part of MTI’s mission to build capacity and implement practices to support competitive integrated employment across Minnesota. This program provides meaningful support throughout the job search process by connecting participants with peer mentors and family mentors who have personal experience navigating similar employment journeys.

    In this training, Olivia Lape, Cortney Kressin and peer mentors will lead a discussion on:

  • · The purpose of The Arc Minnesota’s peer-to-peer mentor program.
  • · Mentor roles.
  • · How to get involved.
  • · Available resources.
  • · Peer mentors’ experience in the program.
  • · Examples of successful transitions to community employment.
