Purpose: To announce changes in service rates for personal care assistance (PCA) and specialized services

PCA and specialized services rate changes

DHS updated Long-Term Services and Supports Service Rate Limits, DHS-3945 (PDF) to reflect changes to PCA and specialized services.

Alternative Care (AC)

As of March 31, 2026, MMIS no longer includes PCA rates for the following services and procedure codes:

  • · PCA, 1:1, T1019.
  • · PCA, 1:2, T1019 TT.
  • · PCA, 1:3, T1019 HQ.
  • · PCA, complex, 1:1, T1019 TG.
  • · PCA, complex, 1:2, T1019 TG TT.
  • · PCA, complex, 1:3, T1019 HQ TG.
  • · PCA, supervision, T1019 UA.
  • AC and Elderly Waiver (EW)

    As of April 1, 2026, MMIS updated the following services to more accurately reflect that rate approval is allowed up to the case mix budget cap:

  • · Specialized supplies and equipment, per item, E1399.
  • · Specialized supplies and equipment, per item, T2029.
  • Disability waivers

    As of April 1, 2026, MMIS no longer publishes the maximum rate for specialist services, remote, T2013 U4.

    This change applies to the following disability waivers:

  • · Brain Injury (BI).
  • · Community Alternative Care (CAC).
  • · Community Access for Disability Inclusion (CADI).
  • · Developmental Disabilities (DD).
