DSD eList announcement

Date: June 9, 2026
To: Lead agencies, contracted case managers and providers
From: DHS Disability Services Division
Purpose: To announce an extension to the rates remediation deadline in the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS)
Contact: DSD Contact Form

DHS extends the rates remediation deadline in MMIS

DHS extended the rates remediation deadline to allow lead agencies to split lines between June 30, 2026, and July 1, 2026, in MMIS. We extended the deadline because:

  • · Lead agencies reported they cannot split all the lines assigned to them for rate remediation by the original May 31, 2026, deadline.
  • · We had to delay the distribution of the second remediation reports.
  • · The 412/413 edit code produced by MMIS prevents lead agencies from saving changes unless they end the line on the date provider enrollment issued the edit code.
  • Lead agency instructions

As lead agencies work through their spreadsheets, they must:

  • · Continue to split lines between May 31, 2026, and June 1, 2026, as previously instructed in an email to rate mentors on April 24, 2026.
  • · Apply new line-split end dates of June 30, 2026, and July 1, 2026, if the provider billed units for services provided in June 2026.
  • · Only use May 31, 2026, and June 1, 2026, or June 30, 2026, and July 1, 2026, line-split end dates. Lead agency financial staff must not create additional line-split end dates.
  • · Transfer any lines from the original workbook to the second report if the line-split end date is June 30, 2026.
  • · Track lines with the 412/413 edit code and attempt to split these lines again at the end of June 2026. DHS emailed these instructions to rate mentors on June 1, 2026.
  • More information about 412/413 edit code

MMIS produces the 412/413 edit code due to NPI revalidation delays. For more information about MMIS edit codes, lead agencies should review Daily Infopac Report PWMW9332-R2086 Service Agreements for Providers with Category of Service Codes and/or Specialty Codes Ended. This resource identifies when approved, pended and partially suspended service agreements change due to a category of service (COS), license or specialty code ending. To request access to Infopac, lead agencies must contact their Infopac administrator or MMIS security liaison.
