HCBS waiver case management advisory working group application updates

DHS is accepting membership applications for the HCBS waiver case management advisory working group.

How to apply

Use the following information to apply:

  • · Application: To apply, refer to Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State – Boards and commissions – Waiver case management advisory working group.
  • · Term length: Member terms will end Aug. 31, 2027.
  • · Meeting schedule: The advisory group will hold monthly meetings.
  • Reason for the waiver case management advisory working group

    The 2026 Minnesota Legislature established the waiver case management advisory working group to evaluate and make recommendations about HCBS waiver case management, including:

  • · Quality.
  • · Workforce sustainability.
  • · Accountability.
  • · Long-term stability.
  • DHS actions

    As of July 1, 2026, DHS began implementing activities necessary to establish the advisory working group. We announced the implementation activities in an Aug. 4, 2026, eList announcement.

    DHS is working to:

  • · Secure administrative resources.
  • · Complete any required contracting and funding activities.
  • DHS will:

  • · Hold the first meeting as soon as we complete the implementation activities.
  • · Develop a web page to serve as the primary source for work group information, timelines, membership opportunities, meeting materials and updates.
  • · Sent an eList announcement when the web page is available.
  • · Connect with the applicants appointed as members by the commissioner through the Minnesota secretary of state’s office.
