Purpose: To instruct lead agencies to review WMS for Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waivers before Nov. 30, 2026

Instructions to review WMS DD Waivers

Before Nov. 30, 2026, counties and Tribal Nations must review people listed as New Recipient – Service Opt on the Budget Detail page in the WMS.

If the county/Tribal Nation has any New Recipient – Service Opts on the Budget Detail page for 2026 (i.e., people who have a service agreement start date on or after Jan. 1, 2026), they must use the DSD Contact Form to:

  • · Provide the person’s eight-digit PMI number, allocation types (i.e., conversion or diversion) and the service agreement start date. They should not include the person’s name.
    Notes: The county/Tribal Nation can include all New Recipient – Service Opts in one DSD Contact Form submission. The county/Tribal Nation must only send PMI numbers for people who have a service agreement start date on or after Jan. 1, 2026.
  • · Request additional allocations from DHS, if necessary.

    • Attaching people to an allocation will help increase the county/Tribal Nation’s adjusted budget.
