School breaks and child care authorization.

During the 12-month eligibility period, students on break (including summer break) who are expected to return at the end of the break remain eligible for care. Care is authorized at the same level as authorized during the participant’s activity.

At application or redetermination, when a participant is on a temporary break from their education activity, whether they are considered to be in an authorized activity depends on whether their return to the activity is verified and if they meet all other eligibility requirements.
