Participants may be charged with overpayments if the participant fails to report changes timely. This can include but not limited to:

· Income that goes over 85% of state median income.

· Permanent end to a participant’s only authorized activity.

· Other factors related to the family’s eligibility for child care assistance.

Overpayment occurs when a family and/or provider receives more child care assistance than they were eligible for. It can result from actions or errors by the family, the provider, the agency, or any combination of these.

Report any changes in employment plan participation to the child care assistance worker within 10 days.

· Check with the child care assistance worker if unsure whether a change in the employment plan needs to be reported.
